Home Alone Away Together: it does what it says on the tin: Don’t Stay Home Alone – Come Away Together.

That’s its - a project about social inclusion and well-being: Solo living, Community travel, friendship and connection through shared travel experiences.

What we focus on: 

We offer all-inclusive travel, social, and learning experiences that bring people together in a spirit of curiosity, camaraderie, and friendship, empowering them to take responsibility for their own social well-being.

Our goal is to promote inclusion and social well-being by making it easy for individuals seeking new social outlets to enjoy shared travel experiences in a relaxed and organised setting. HAAT fosters human connection and camaraderie across all demographic groups. Don’t stay home alone – Come Away Together!

Our travel experiences stand out due to our focus on unique, behind-the-scenes activities, a touch of learning, and social interaction in a friendly, intimate atmosphere where making new friends is easy.

All-inclusive Group Travel: As far as possible our travel experiences are ‘all-inclusive’. We take the stress out of travel, by taking care of the logistics: from planning where to go, how to get there, lodgings, meals…. We handle all the details. Just book your seat, turn up! We take care of the rest.

As an experienced Tour Guide and group Leader for many years, and a volunteer with a national charity that supports social inclusion, Martina founded "Home Alone, Away Together," as a community-driven travel initiative, providing authentic, stress-free, expertly led travel experiences, to help people stay socially connected and mentally well, as our personal relationships and circumstances evolve across the lifespan.

Martina offers travel, social and learning experiences that bring people together in a spirit of curiosity, camaraderie, and friendship, thus empowering people to take responsibility for their own social well-being. Book your seat and jump onboard!

Once you book a place on a tour and pay a deposit or a full payment, your seat is secured.  You will receive a confirmation of your booking with basic information about your booking, which will include your name and the names of any others on the same booking. 

For overnight tours your confirmation will include your rooming choice, dining preferences, special requests and payment information. 

Once registered on a tour you will receive updates on the itinerary, information on pickup points (and parking) to join the tour, emergency contact information, guidance on what to bring with you on the tour to stay safe and well. 

Some tours may require trip specific information, for which we will contact you when necessary.  

Absolutely. It’s also highly advisable to book as early as possible, as tours require minimum numbers to go ahead. 

If your plans change at short notice, we endeavour to rearrange your booking to another tour. If a booking cannot be changed a 48-hour cancellation policy will apply. 

Once you make a booking, payment can be made by bank transfer Cheque, Revolut or cash payment.  Get in touch for full payment details.
